Peggy Scott

Eula Ilene ""Peggy"" Scott, 73, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Scott was born Feb. 13, 1935 in Carter, County, Mo. She was a member of Living Word Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, and had retired from Ozark Foothill Planning Committee as a bookkeeper. Mrs. Scott enjoyed traveling and camping.

On Oct. 6, 1956 she married William M. Scott in Piedmont. He survives.

Other survivors include three children: Robin Lynn Hempel, of Peachtree City, Ga. and Lisa Kay Hayes and Jason Kyle Scott, both of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren; a sister, Mazo Brinkley, of Piedmont; and a brother, Claude Chilton, of Patterson.

Her parents, Jarrett and Leslie (Provance) Chilton, sisters: Minnie Cowry, Alphia Womack, Edna May Thompson, Jean Ellis and brothers: Otis Chilton, Arthur Chilton, Luin Chilton and Lloyd Chilton preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Emmons officiating. Burial will be at Gresham Cemetery, in Ellsinore.
