Perry Ray Smith

Perry Ray Smith, 46 of Dexter, MO, passed away at 7:04 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Perry was born on November 20, 1972 in Poplar Bluff, MO, the Son of Perry Jack and Sharon Sue (Ray) Smith.

Perry enjoyed many things in life including fishing, drawing, fixing things and collecting arrowheads and dragons. Perry lived for his children and loved spending time with them.

Survivors include his mother, Sharon Sue Longbottom (Alan Wilson) of Dexter, MO; father, Perry Jack (Vicky) Smith of Houston, TX; grandmother, Patty Little of Poplar Bluff, MO, four children, Skye Root of Houston, TX, Alistasia Smith of Joplin, MO, Chad (Amber) Smith of Dexter, MO and Kaleb Smith of Galena, KS; four siblings Jason (Andrea) Smith of Katy, TX, Dawn Stadler of Poplar Bluff, MO, Kyle Smith of Houston TX, and Lindy Smith of Houston, TX. Perry is also survived by three grandchildren, several aunts and uncles, many nieces and nephews and his best friend Bryan Ferry.

Perry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilson Ray, Johnnie Little, Jack and Irene Smith; two uncles Mike Ray and Steve Ray.

Visitation will take place in the chapel at Moore Funeral Service, 1100 Iron Bridge Road, Poplar Bluff, MO, on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Funeral Service will follow immediately at 1:00 p.m. with Pastors Bud and Bonnie Goins officiating.

Inurnment will follow at a later date.
