Phillip James Crites

Phillip James Crites, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Phillip, the son of Geraldine D. (Loberg) Crites and the late Ralph J. Crites, was born Sept. 13, 1951 in Cape Girardeau, MO. Phillip was a member of First United Methodist Church in Poplar Bluff, where he never met a stranger.

He married Kim (Bishop) Crites in Alley Springs, MO on Oct. 7, 1989, and they have been married for 28 years. In addition to his wife, Phillip is survived by the loves of his life, daughters Hannah and Sarah; his mother, Geraldine; his two sisters, Cheryl Ross and Brenda Crites; his youngest brother, Christopher Crites; and his two cats, Madeline and Thor.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at First United Methodist Church of Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at City Cemetery.
