Phoenix Tylar Brannon

Phoenix Tylar Brannon, 10, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015, alongside his brother, JayDen, at the home of his grandparents, as the result of a fire.

Phoenix was born April 25, 2004, in Poplar Bluff, to Jonathan Brannon and Dusty Whittaker. He was a fifth grader at Poplar Bluff 5th and 6th grade center. He loved spending time playing video games, fishing with his PaPa, reading and playing with his brothers.

Survivors include his mother, Dusty Whittaker Vass, of Poplar Bluff; his father, Jonathan Brannon, of Daytona Beach, Fla.; a brother, Grayson Vass; grandparents, Danny and Erma Pierce; great-grandmother, Irma Englerth; and several aunts and uncles, all of Poplar Bluff.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 - 7:30 p.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 Monday at the Chapel with Pastor Alan Harlan officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn section of the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
