Quillie Billie (Palmer) Sudduth

Quillie J. ""Billie"" Sudduth, 94, of Poplar Bluff, died Friday, October 5, 2012 at The Cedargate in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Sudduth was born October 14, 1917 in Hamilton, Ala. She was a homemaker, and during her earlier years had worked as a store clerk for the Ben Franklin Store. Mrs. Sudduth was a member of First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women's group, and had been a member of the Rebekah Lodge since 1952. She lived life to the fullest, and loved having her family and friends around her and cooking for them. Mrs. Sudduth also enjoyed traveling, and was always ready to be on the go.

On Nov. 3, 1933, she married Leonard Hugh Sudduth. He preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 1986.

Surviving are two daughters, Jean Dicken of Poplar Bluff and Janice Krause and husband, Charles of Linden, Tex.; a daughter-in-law, Carol Sudduth; 8 grandchildren, Jeana Cox and husband, John, Roy Dicken and wife, Lisa, Russell Dicken and wife, Roberta, Richard Dicken and wife, Melanie, Neile Carlton and husband, Dwight, Ross Krause, Christine Watson and husband, Eric, and Christopher Sudduth; 12 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Max Palmer; two sisters, Erma Lee Jackson and Sally Hollis; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A son, Charles Sudduth, and son-in-law, Bob Dicken also preceded Mrs. Sudduth in death.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. David Huck officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
