Randall Perry Randy Benson

Randall Perry ""Randy"" Benson, 57, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, Nov. 14, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Benson was born Sept. 22, 1954 in Iola, Kans. He was a member of Fellowship General Baptist Church, and had retired from Santa Fe Railroad and later from Sonic Drive-In in Poplar Bluff as a manager. Mr. Benson enjoyed spending time with his family, art, photography, guitar music and working with others.

On Feb. 14, 1998, he married Cindy Garrison in Poplar Bluff. She survives.

Other survivors include his children, Drew Benson and wife Amy of Springfield, Mo., Trustin Denton and Lexy Denton both of Poplar Bluff; mother, Wilma Watson Fields of Maynard, Ark.; sister, Sharon K. Parkman and husband Eldon, of Emporia, Kans.; and brother, Donald R. Benson and wife Lila of Maynard, Ark.

His father, Donald P. Benson preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Fellowship General Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Church with Rev. Byron Beck officiating and Rev. John Harwell assisting. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
