Ransom Joseph ""Randy"" Freeman, 58, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Freeman was born Jan. 3, 1955 in Gary, Ind. He was of the Lutheran faith, and had previously worked as a machinist for U.S. Steel. Mr. Freeman was also a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He enjoyed fishing, and collecting motorcycle memorabilia and Kelley Clowns.
Survivors include two sons: Eric Freeman and fiance, Erika Smith and Anthony Freeman, all of Poplar Bluff; his mother, Betty Hampton Weir, of Wayland, Mich.; a special friend, Carolyn Cox, of Poplar Bluff; two sisters: Connie Freeman and Karen Rabideau, both of Michigan; and two brothers, Ron Freeman, of Poplar Bluff and Frank Freeman, of Orange Park, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
His father, Ron Freeman preceded him in death.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the Chapel with Pastor Frank Freeman officiating. Inurnment of ashes with full military honors will be at a later date.
