Raymond Eugene Foutch

February 14, 1919 — December 30, 2011

Raymond Eugene Foutch, 92, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Foutch was born Feb. 14, 1919 in Jefferson County, Ill. He was a member of First General Baptist Church, and had retired as the owner and operator of Bluff Electric Works. Mr. Foutch was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and was a member of Masonic Lodge 209 in Poplar Bluff. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf.

Mr. Foutch was formerly married to Mildred Bushong and they had 3 children, Carol Sue Hogue and husband George of Loretto, Pa., Linda Ruth Koons of Gallitolis, Ohio and Larry Foutch who is deceased. On Sept. 11, 1947, he married Alice LaVern Chitwood. She preceded him in death on Sept. 18, 2005.

Other survivors include 10 grandchildren, Denise, Judy, George, Janice, Collette, Jeff, Michelle, Debra, Todd and Brenya; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and special friends and caretakers, Hazel Kinder and DeVona Finertie.

His parents, George and Ida (Garren) Foutch and several brothers and sisters also preceded Mr. Foutch in death.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 with a Masonic Service at 10 a.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Dick Murray officiating. Entombment with full military honors will be in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
