Raymond Edward "Ed" Miller

Raymond Edward “Ed” Miller, 60, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2018 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Raymond, the son of Robert Earl and Melba Jean Moore Miller, was born on March 6, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was a member of Bluff First Church in Poplar Bluff and was a steel worker at Rice Trailers for many years.

Ed enjoyed scuba diving, automobiles, missions, guitars and making people laugh. His levity was infectious.

In October of 1977, Ed married his high school sweetheart, Rachael Dianne “Dee” Woodruff. She preceded him in death in 1999.

In March of 2001, he married Karen Jean Owen. She preceded him in death in 2017.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Lee Miller (Kayla) and Paul Matthew Miller of Poplar Bluff; two step-children, Kenny Eugene Foltz of Poplar Bluff and Kelly Ann Foltz of Tamms, Illinois; three grandchildren, Parker Grobe, Annie Miller and Rylee Miller; and one brother, Robert Earl Miller, Jr. (Sylvia) of Quincy, Illinois.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Bluff First Church with the funeral service following at 10 a.m. The Rev. T.J. Woodard will officiate. Burial will be in the Wood Lawn section of the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
