Regeania Fay ?Jeannie? McDowell, 59, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. McDowell was born Jan. 3, 1952 in Blytheville, Ark. She was an active member of Grace Christian Fellowship Church, and was a homemaker. Mrs. McDowell had previously worked as a supervisor of client care for the Missouri Department of Mental Health Regional Center for 23 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, helping others, shopping and flower gardening.
On June 28, 1997 she married Jack McDowell in Poplar Bluff. He survives.
Other survivors include her children, Douglas Martin and wife Lori of Poplar Bluff and Christopher Martin of Anchorage, Alaska; parents, Percy and Peggy (Green) Kiefer of Poplar Bluff; step-children, Clayton McDowell of Poplar Bluff and Kelly Ann Braschler and husband Mike of New Boston, Tex.; step-grandchildren, Mallory McDowell, Tyler McDowell and Kynzy Braschler; sister, Doris Hastings and husband James of Poplar Bluff; brothers, her twin, Danny Kiefer and wife Valerie, Dennis Kiefer and wife Diane and David Kiefer and wife Jane all of Poplar Bluff; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 3200 Warrior Lane in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Christian Fellowship with Rev. Brian Sharp officiating. Burial will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
