Reginald Leyon Boswell, 63, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Boswell was born July 10, 1953 in Steele, Mo., to the late A.D. and Helen E. Perry Boswell. He was of the Baptist faith and was a self-employed carpenter. Mr. Boswell proudly served his country in the US Army and served during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed working in the yard and restoring appliances and motors.
On Jan. 19, 2003, he married Mary Lou Holloway in Steele, Mo. She survives.
Other survivors include four children, Travis Holloway, Katrina Hill and Yolanda Knighten all of Poplar Bluff and Damien Holloway of St. Louis; 12 grandchildren; three brothers, Howard Boswell of Hayti, Mo., Frederick (Judy) Boswell of Milwaukee, Wisc. and Sidney Boswell of Fresno, Calif.; two sisters, Clara Coleman of Columbia, Mo. and Alice Murray of Omaha, Nebr.; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Three sisters and two brothers also preceded him in death.
A celebration of Life service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Bluff City Apostolic Church with the Rev. David Brown officiating. Inurnment with full military honors will follow at 1 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
