Richard Lee Austill, 87, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Austill was born Dec. 29, 1924 in Gobler, Mo. He attended the Pentecost Holiness Church, and was a retired truck driver. Mr. Austill was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in WWII. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and doing mechanic work.
On May 7, 1992, he married Ella Mae Powers in Norfolk, Va. She survives.
Survivors include three children, James ""Jimmy"" Austill of Poplar Bluff and Carolyn Austill and Della Mae Austill; one grandchild; a sister, Wanda Fields of Florissant, Mo.; a stepsister, Dorothy Hargrove of South Beloit, Ill.; a brother, Eugene Austill of Wagner, Okla.; and a stepbrother, Carl J. Edwards of Avondale, Ariz.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service with full military honors will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
