Richard Jerome Hoeltzle

Richard Jerome Hoeltzle, 72, of Wappapello, MO, passed away Monday, August 10, 2026, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Richard was born on May 09, 1954, to Jerome and Helen (Baker) Hoeltzle in St. Louis, Missouri. He married Susan (Petry) Hoeltzle in Poplar Bluff.

Richard was a simple and hardworking man. His kind and compassionate personality was a blessing to all those he crossed paths with. He truly enjoyed people and went out of his way to be of service to others in whatever way he could. Richard liked going to the gun range, spending time with family, and working the various jobs he had throughout his life; including, Nordine, Home Depot, and most recently, he owned and operated Cool Heat. Richard's calming, loving, and caring presence will be missed by all that knew him.

Richard is survived by his two sisters, Therese Sisk and Linda Schlef; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Helen; wife, Susan Hoeltzle; sister, Dianna McIntyre and three brothers, Donald, Raymond, and Jerome Hoeltzle.

Graveside service will be held at Noon on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, where he will be laid to rest next to his parents.
