Richard D. Smith

Richard D. Smith, 76, of Poplar Bluff passed away Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Smith was born Dec. 17, 1926 in Wheeling, WV. He was of the Church of Christ faith, and was a self-employed Truck Driver. Mr. Smith enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog, hunting and fishing.

On July 19, 1974, he married Patricia Ryan in Chicago, Ill. She survives of the home.

Other survivor include five children: Brian Smith (Mari Ann) and Sherry Marshall (Larry) all of Chicago, Ill., Noreen Casimer of Hampshire, Ill., Richard Schraps of Poplar Bluff and Timothy Schraps of Sallisaw, Okla.; and several grandchildren.

His parents, Calvin and Dorothy Meyers Smith preceded him in death.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date in Rockland, PA.
