Richard Wright

Richard Wright, 87, of Wapapello, MO, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 at The Manor in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Wright was born Nov. 9, 1925, in Butler County to Robert and Mary Duley Wright. He was a member of Faith Church, and attended Little Brushy Church at Wappapello. Mr. Wright had retired from a shoe factory. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and tinkering around his farm.

On Nov. 3, 1945, he married Lula Florence Shirrell. She preceded him in death on Jan. 19, 1999.

Survivors include a brother, Charles Wright; a sister, Imogene Maddox, both of Poplar Bluff; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents, and a sister, Louise Wright also preceded Mr. Wright in death.

Visitation will be from 5:30?7:30 p.m. Monday at the Wappapello Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Wappapello chapel with Pastor Tim Schultz officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Little Brushy Cemetery.
