Rickey Wayne Hill

Ricky Wayne Hill of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away on May 6, 2017.

Rick was born April 23, 1949 to Woodrow and Lenora (Stevens) Hill in Delaplaine, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife, Lana and sisters Janie Neal of Kansas City, Missouri and Rita Storms of Paragould, Arkansas; his children, Randall (Yvonne) Hill of Corning, Arkansas, Candie (Mike) Pitcher of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Bryan, Jason, Shane Hill of Corning, Arkansas and Gary, Jr (Catherine) Dollins of Poplar Bluff, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jerry and Danny Hill.

Rick was raised in the Delaplaine and Peach Orchard, Arkansas area and worked for Darling Store Fixtures of Corning, Arkansas for 44 years. His most recent employment was with Cape Electric Supply of Poplar Bluff for a period of about two years. He was a member of the Poplar Bluff Seventh-day Adventist Church.

On May 2, 2010 he married Lana (Howard) Dollins at Mount Nebo State Park in Dardanelle, Arkansas. Rick and Lana made their home in Corning before moving to Poplar Bluff.

Rick enjoyed gardening, camping, travel, riding motorcycles and spending time with family and friends. His vegetable garden, blackberry vines and pecan trees were highly valued and provided food to be enjoyed by many. Rick was a kind, generous, loving man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at the Poplar Bluff Seventh-Day Adventist Church at 2 p.m.on May 21, 2017 with burial to follow in Jones Cemetery, Delaplaine, Arkansas.
