Robbin Eugene Burkhart

Robbin Eugene Burkhart, 37, of Fisk, Mo. passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2010 at his residence.

Robbin was born the first child to Robert Eugene and Carolyn Sue (Ketchum) Burkhart of Grandin, Mo. on April 7, 1972 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He had been employed at Emcon Technology in Dexter, Mo since 2001. Prior to that he spent 2 years at WW Wood Products, and several years at Rowe Furniture. Robbin loved camping, hunting and enjoying the outdoors, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family. Family was of the utmost importance to him throughout his lifetime.

On April 10, 1999, he married Crystal Lynn Gee in Van Buren, Mo. at Big Springs National Park. She survives.

Besides his wife and parents, Robbin leaves behind daughters, Shaniqua Lnora-nae and Ariana Lynn Burkhart; son, Tyler Brett Burkhart; step-daughter, Erika Hughey; sisters: Krista Richardson and Rebecca Griffin (Bryan); brother, Robert D. (Nikki) Burkhart; nieces, Bryanna and Bayleigh Griffin, Makayla, Cierra and Gracie Burkhart; nephews, Kyle and Kody Richardson, all of Poplar Bluff; niece, Kendra Gee of Dexter; and maternal grandparents, Curtis and Billie Ketchum of Titusville, Fla. He also leaves behind a great many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who all loved him dearly.

Robbin was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Edgar and Deloris Burkhart, and maternal great-grandmother, Alberta Daughhetee Thomas who held a very special place in his heart.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Friday in the Chapel with the Rev. Ed Dunivan officiating. Burial will follow at Daughhetee Cemetery in Butler County.
