Robert “Bob” L. Hampleman, 78, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 in Poplar Bluff.
Robert, the only child of the late Lester and Meta Pearl Opperman Hampleman, was born April 20, 1941, in Chicago, IL. He had retired as a brakeman for the Illinois Soo Line Railroad. Robert loved spending time with his family and loved all animals. He also enjoyed being and working outdoors.
On June 29, 1963, he married the love of his life Carolyn K. Rogacki in Chicago. She survives.
Other survivors include two children, Sherry Lynn Altenburg and her husband John Paul of Edmond, OK and Jamze Hampleman and his wife Carmen of Poplar Bluff; and one granddaughter Jordyn Altenburg also of Edmond, OK.
A private graveside service and burial will be held Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019 at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery with Rev. Jim Schremp officiating.
