Robert J. Jameson

Robert Jean Jameson, 81, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at his residence.

Mr. Jameson was born Aug. 9, 1928 in St. Louis. He attended the Word of Prophecy Church in Poplar Bluff, and was a retired truck driver. Mr. Jameson was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his great-grandson, Dylan.

He was married to Iva Icly McDowell. She preceded him in death on July 15, 1999.

Other survivors include his granddaughter and caregiver with whom he made his home, Reva Wilburn of Poplar Bluff; great-grandson; sisters, Polly Pierce of Geronimo, Okla. and Donna Jameson of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and brothers, Richard Jameson, George Jameson, John Jameson and Jerry Jameson all of Poplar Bluff.

A graveside service with full military honors will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield with the Rev. Randy Wallis officiating.
