Robert Earl Little

Robert Earl Little, 68, of Poplar Bluff, and formerly of St. Louis, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Little was born Aug. 28, 1946 in Webb, Miss. to Beatrice Fleming Little and the late Willie B. Little. He retired in 2009 as a supervisor with the St. Louis City Park and Recreation Department, after more than 30 years of service. Mr. Little loved to spend time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing horseshoes, and darts.

Survivors include his wife, Lavelma J. Ballard Little; four children: Terra Little, of St. Louis, Veronica Ford, of Poplar Bluff, and Jason Wallace and Jeremy Wallace, both of Jefferson City; his mother, Beatrice Little, of Independence; 13 brothers and sisters: Alvin Snerling, of St. Louis, Emma Mitchell and Charles Little, both of Poplar Bluff, Evelyn Lumpkin, of Kansas City, Malissa Woodberry, of Poplar Bluff, Leon Little and Lee Arthur Little, of St. Louis, Berniece Elaine McColman, of Independence, George Little, of St. Louis, Debra Riley, of Lawton, Okla., and Timothy Little, Regina Collins and Kenneth Little, all of Kansas City; several grand and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins, and a host of extended family and friends.

A sister, Charlotte Little and a brother, Eric Little also preceded Mr. Little in death.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with a Celebration of Life following. Mrs. Bernice Chase will serve as Mistress of Ceremony.
