Robert Lee Stonecipher

Robert Lee Stonecipher, 47, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Mr. Stonecipher was born Dec. 9, 1962 in Poplar Bluff. He was a member of Midland Church; and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #209 as well as a member of the Shrine Club. Prior to his becoming disabled Mr. Stonecipher worked for the Poplar Bluff Public Schools Maintenance Department. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandson, being outdoors, hunting and fishing.

On Nov. 26, 1982 he married Teresa Gambill at the Fisk General Baptist Church. She survives.

Other survivors include five daughters, Shaundel Stonecipher of Modesto, Calif., Stefanie Brumitt and husband Ben, Kimberly Stonecipher, Kassie Stonecipher and Natalie Stonecipher all of Poplar Bluff; a grandson, Nicholaus Stone Brumitt; his mother, Dorothy Sue (Brady) Stonecipher of Poplar Bluff; brother, Thomas Stonecipher of Poplar Bluff; grandmother, Aleen Gambill of Poplar Bluff; father and mother-in-law, Butch and Nelda Gambill of Poplar Bluff; brother-in-law, Steven Gambill of Jacksonville, Fla.; a niece, Jessica Gambill; and four nephews, Jonathon Gambill, Jordan Gambill, T.J. Stonecipher and Tim Stonecipher.

His father, James Jim Stonecipher preceded him in death.

A Masonic service will begin at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with visitation following until 8 p.m. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Rick White officiating and Mr. Mike Johnson assisting. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
