Rodney M Hogg

Rodney M. Hogg, 98, of Bryant, Ark. passed away, Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 at the John L. McClellan Memorial VA Medical Center in Little Rock, Ark.

Mr. Hogg was born Dec. 27, 1914 in El Dorado, Ark. He was of the Baptist faith and had retired after many years as a heavy equipment maintenance worker. Mr. Hogg was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in WWII. He enjoyed woodworking, repairing violins as well as playing the violin.

In 1968, he married Elsie Yates in Jacksonville, Ark. She survives.

Survivors also include a stepson, Freddy Dodd (Mary Ann) of Benton, Ark.; 19 step-grandchildren several step-great-grandchildren and several step-great-great-grandchildren.

His parents, Arthur M. and Dixie Wilson Hogg preceded him in death.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 P.M. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Interment will be in the Woodlawn section of the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
