Roger Abbott

Roger Thomas Abbott, 69, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

He was born on August 13, 1948 to Delmar and Ruth (Mathis) Abbott in Poplar Bluff, MO. He graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1966 and attended Baylor. Roger was the President of the Credit Bureau of Poplar Bluff. On June 6, 1976 he married Pam Sherman in Bolivar, MO.

He enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals, watching other sports, and gardening. Most of all he loved spending time with family.

Roger is survived by his loving spouse of 41 years, Pam; one son, Corey Thomas; cousin, Jim Mathis and his wife, Vanessa, all of Poplar Bluff, MO; and cousin Nan (Don) Cope of Bentonville, AR.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar Abbott and Ruth Barham.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 2 – 3:00 pm at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff.

A Memorial Service will be immediately following visitation at 3:00 p.m. in the Moore Funeral Service Chapel with Aaron Nevils officiating.
