Ronald Dean Clark, 87, of Wappapello, MO, had his spirit ascend to The Lord with his Eternal Companion Gail by his side, Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
Ronald was born on September 13, 1939, in Moline, Illinois. He and his family moved to San Fernando Valley, California where he resided during his formative years.
Ron was a natural born salesman. His enjoyment of people made this vocation easy! Ron and Gail met while selling yellow page advertising in San Diego, California. They were married on February 14, 1985. They relocated to Southeast Missouri where his entrepreneurial skills continued to expand. From hotel guest directories to town graphics, along with businesses in Wappapello Video and Da Udder Side Antiques & Collectibles. They later returned to yellow pages and worked in Hawaii for two 6-month periods.
After retiring, he found his true love of selling through auctions, as well as transporting antiques and collectibles to Canton, Texas and Nashville, Tennessee flea markets.
Ron joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on August 09, 2015, at the young age of 75. He then devoted his time and talents to The Lord.
Ron was a sports enthusiast! In his younger years, he participated in nearly every sport that was offered. As he got older, he watched and kept up with them all too. Ron was an especially avid football fan. Go Broncos!
Ronald is survived by his wife of 41 years, Gail Clark; 5 children, Yvonne Clark, Yvette (Joe) Henry, Ron (Ann) Clark, Doug (Beth) Clark, and Greg (Nadia) Clark; two stepsons, Jeremy (Kathy) Mabary and Jody Mabary; brother, Lucky (Anna) Clark; sister, Jean (John) Hoffman; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; along with many extended family members and friends.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, beginning at 11:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 2414 Katy Lane, in Poplar Bluff. A meal will follow the services.
