Ronald F. Harrison

Ronald Franklin Harrison, 54, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010 at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Harrison was born Oct. 22, 1955 in Poplar Bluff. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, and had previously owned and operated Harrison Photography. In addition to his photography, Mr. Harrison had worked as a children's librarian at the Poplar Bluff Public Library and for the Daily American Republic in the editing department. He was also a 10-year veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Mr. Harrison enjoyed spending time with his children, photography, music, playing the guitar as well as several other instruments, target shooting, and fishing.

In 1980 he was married to Sheila Hendrix. She preceded him in death in 2008.

Survivors include two daughters, Erica Harrison of Poplar Bluff and Rachel Schmitt of St. Louis; two grandchildren; two sisters, Tonya Landers and Lesa Gower both of Poplar Bluff; and a brother, Donald Harrison also of Poplar Bluff.

A graveside service with full military honors will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Dr. William Vail officiating.
