Ronald Gene Parrent

Ronald Gene Parrent, 61, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away Monday, March 30, 2015, at Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital.

Mr Parrent was born May 28, 1953, in Doniphan, MO to Gene and Imogene Parrent.

Mr Parrent was a high school graduate of Naylor High School and he later went on to mortuary school in Louisville, KY. Upon completion of mortuary school, Ron began his career at Parrent Funeral Home in Naylor, Mo. Ron owned and operated the funeral home and insurance business for several years. Ron was an avid St Louis Cardinals fan and he enjoyed golfing and instructing golf to others.

Survivors include his father, Gene Parrent, of Hot Springs Village, AR; two daughters, Shonna Parrent, of Poplar Bluff, and Jenna Parrent, of Boone, NC; and a sister, Judy Wilcutt of Jackson, MO.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Imogene Parrent and a sister, Kathy Parrent Warren.

Visitation will be at Cotrell Funeral Chapel on Thursday from 10am until time of memorial service at 11am. Ron's uncle, Jim Orr, will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations are asked to be made to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 48. Donations can be dropped off at either Poplar Bluff Federal Credit Union locations.
