Ronald 'Ron' L. Montgomery

Ronald ‘Ron’ L. Montgomery, 68, of Doniphan, MO passed away Monday, May 25, 2020 at his home in Doniphan.

Ron was born on January 20, 1952 to the late Claude and Jerlean (Knuckles) Montgomery in Poplar Bluff.

He married Rhonda Simmers on July 14, 1988, in Poplar Bluff.

Ron was a member of the United States Marine Corp. and retired as a maintenance worker for Poplar Bluff Municipal Utilities. He was of the Baptist faith. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and being outdoors.

Survivors include his wife Rhonda Montgomery; a daughter Angela Johnson of South Carolina; two sons, Todd J. Montgomery of Poplar Bluff and Chad Montgomery of Doniphan; five grandchildren, Lincoln Montgomery, Jacob Cordle, Tiffani (Alex) Emmons, Tyler Cordle and Jordyn Cordle; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Emmons and Matthew Emmons; a sister Karen (Larry) Boone of Clarkton, MO; and a brother Randy Montgomery of Poplar Bluff.

A sister Linda Montgomery also preceded Ron in death.

Visitation will begin at 10 am Friday, May 29th at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the funeral service following at 11 am. Brother Kevin Eudaley will officiate. Burial with full military honors will take place at Montgomery-Sheppard Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
