Ronnie Lee Kirby, Jr.

Ronnie Lee Kirby, Jr., 51, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 12, 2017 in Illinois.

Ronnie, the beloved son of Ronnie L. Sr. and Louise Ellberg Kirby of Poplar Bluff, was born Aug. 25, 1965 in St. Charles, Ill. He was a member of the Palace of Praise and worked as an over the road truck driver for LTI Trucking Company. Ronnie proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed tinkering and playing games with family and friends on his computer and phone.

On Nov. 23, 1985, he married the love of his life, Kimberly Sue Humes in Carpentersville, Ill. She survives.

Survived also include three children, Felicia Marie (Ronald) Wallace of Fisk, Marcus Allen (Misty) Kirby and Matthew Ryan Kirby of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren, Isabella Wallace, Jacy Wallace, William Wallace and Damien Kirby; a sister, Dovonna (Rocky) Slinkard of Jackson, Mo.; two brothers, Richard (Debbie) Kirby and Dale Kirby of Poplar Bluff; and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. in the funeral chapel with Pastor James Kirby and Pastor Garvin Carter. Burial with full military honors will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
