Roosevelt Frinces Richard

Mr. Richard was born Aug. 26, 1942 in Clarksdale, Miss. He was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and was a self- employed contractor. Mr. Richard enjoyed teaching the Bible, reading, playing the saxophone, cooking and was a hobby wine maker.

On Oct. 16, 2004, he married Janeane F. Murphy in Poplar Bluff. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three children: Rodrick L. Richard of South Bend, Ind., Lisa La Shan Richard of Denver, Colo., and Darrel E. Richard of Houston, Tex.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Susie McGee of Kansas City, Mo.; and a brother, Edward Richard (Olivia) of West Covina, Calif.

His father, Edward Reed, mother, Josie Lee Richard Pownsel and eight brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

A Celebration of Life will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Jerry Griffiths officiating.
