Rosia Mae (Williams) Harley

March 13, 1923 — April 10, 2016

Rosia M. Harley departed this life on Sunday, April 10, 2016.

Rosia was born on March 13, 1923 in Linda, Missouri to Jessup and Ella M. Williams. She accepted Christ Lord at a young age. Rosia met and married the love of her life, Tommie D. Harley, on October 4, 1937. They moved to Broseley, Missouri to start a life on their farm. She enjoyed doing hair, cooking, gardening, canning and sewing. Rosia was also active in the local community as a member of New Home Missionary Baptist Church and was a member of the motherboard. Rosia and Tommie had 15 children. She valued her family and longtime friends. Rosia was a beautiful person with a caring heart and treated everyone just like family. She was always doing things for others.

Visitation and viewing of the body will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 22nd at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, 701 Vine Street, Poplar Bluff, Missouri 63901. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 23rd in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Allen Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to everyone who helped care for Rosia during illness.

Mom, we love you and may you rest in peace.
