Rosie Margaret (Wilson) Nelson

Rosie Margaret Nelson, 92, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away Monday, July 6th, 2020 at her home.

Rosie was born on September 22, 1927 in Butler County, MO to Robert and Blanche Wilson.  She married Roy Everett Nelson in 1949, in Piggott, AR.

Rosie was a member of South Poplar Bluff General Baptist Church. She was a sweet, caring and humorous woman who took pride in being a homemaker for many years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and canning, but most of all spending time with her family.

Rosie is survived by three daughters, Donna Pinner (Buddy) of Poplar Bluff, Carol Nelson of Poplar Bluff, and Emmilea Riggs (Chuck) of Kennett, MO; one son, Donald "Bo" Roy Nelson of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Alice Christian of Bismarck, MO; two brothers, Russell Wilson of Piedmont, and Frances Wilson of Farmington; eight grandchildren, Tonya Landrum (Mike), Jason Nelson, Tracey Nelson, Nancy George (Heath), Daniel Riggs (Melanie), Stephen Riggs (Andrea), Ryan Nelson (Melanie), Eric Nelson (Chelsea); fifteen great-grandchildren, Nelson, Caleb, and Joshua Landrum, McKenzie Hall, Jonas and Lucas Hopper, Finnley and Sawyer George, Rayse and Korben Riggs, Story, Stella, Sterling, Camryn, and Cooper Nelson; one great-great-grandchild Gracelynn Landrum.

Rosie was preceded by her husband; parents; one son, Ronald "BoBo" Everett Nelson; four brothers, Lyndell Wilson, Ross Wilson, Ira Wilson, and Harold Wilson.

A private graveside service will be held at Carson Hill Cemetery near Mill Springs, MO in Wayne County on Thursday, July 9th, 2020 at 1:00 PM with officiating by Reverend Keith Luke.
