Rosita (Braga) Dunaway

Rosita Braga Dunaway, 69, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Mrs. Dunaway, the daughter of the late Teodirico and Eufracia (Pelicano) Braga, was born Aug. 24, 1946 in Bay Bay, Leyte Philippines. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and had retired from Briggs and Stratton. Mrs. Dunaway was also a former employee of the Daily American Republic. She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, music of the 50's and 60's, Elvis, traveling and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

On May 17, 1969, she married Don Dunaway in Cavite City, Philippines. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include three children: Donald Dunaway and Lisa Dunaway of St. Louis and Wendy (Lenny) Weston of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren: Dylan Weston, Kirsten Dunaway and Halie Weston of Poplar Bluff; two brothers: Camilo Braga and Ernesto Braga; a sister, Rosario Braga of the Philippines; a sister-in-law, Doris McCord of Poplar Bluff; and a total of four half brothers and sisters of the Pelicano family.

A brother, Rufino Braga also preceded Mrs. Dunaway in death.

The visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11th at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with a Prayer service following at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 12th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father William Hodgson officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 16th at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
