Roy J. Gillihan, 79, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Monday, June 02, 2014, at Mark Twain Caring Center.
Mr. Gillihan was born September 28, 1934, in Hardy, AR, to the late Lewis E. and Violet Young Gillihan.
On May 31, 1952, he married Clettea D. Campbell, in Piggott, AR. He served his country in the United States Army, was owner operator of a monument company and also did trucking and dump trucking. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved horses and trading cars.
His brother, Troy Gillihan and sister, Barbara Tippen, along with nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews survive.
His wife; a son, Delbert Gillihan; a brother, Raymond Gillihan; and two sisters: Viola Gipson and Edith Davis also preceded him in death.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, and continue until time of service at 11 a.m. Rev. Ralph Mayes will be officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at City Cemetery.
