Roy Aubert Poore

Roy Aubert Poore, 94, of Poplar Bluff, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Mr. Poore was born May 20, 1920 in Neelyville, Mo. to the late Aubert and Daisy Ann Nixon Poore. He was a member of The First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, and had retired from John J. Pershing VA Medical Center as a foreman in Housekeeping. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Poore enjoyed making and repairing swing sets and giving them to children.

On Oct. 22, 1950, he married Bertie M. Teeples in Pocahontas, Ark. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Three sisters, Wilma Cheatham, Juanita Mackey and Bessie Penrod and a brother, James Poore also preceded Mr. Poore in death
