Roy B. Starkey

Roy B. Starkey, 55, of Wappapello, died Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at his residence.

Mr. Starkey was born Sept. 18, 1951, in Jonesboro, Ark. and was of the Baptist faith. He was a self employed truck driver and a member of the V.F.W. and Eagles Lodge, at Wappapello. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and fishing and hunting.

On March 1, 1988, he married Mary Earnheart, in Benton, Mo. She survives.

Other survivors include four children, Michael Aaron Starkey, of Balch Springs, Tex., Kimberly Renea Starkey, of Garland, Tex., Steven Ellis Starkey, of Anna, Tex. and Megan Star Cowen, of Essex; his mother, Lorene Holt Crader, of Sikeston; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Whitmire, of Tyler, Tex. and Bernice Hill, of Crosby, Tex.; and three brothers, Troy Starkey, of Crosby, Tex., Carl Starkey, of Dexter and Jack Starkey, of New Orleans, La.

A Memorial Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Wappapello Cotrell Funeral Chapel.
