Ruthie Mae Allen

Ruthie M. Allen, 77, of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Ms. Allen, the daughter of the late Earnest Allen and Tearesa Lee Ore, was born July 2, 1938, in Hollandale Mississippi. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker. During her earlier years she was employed as a cook. Ms. Allen enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved cooking for her family.

Survivors include her three children: Valerie Blackmon, Ronnie Allen and Michael
Allen all of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren: Jeric Blackmon, Charles Allen both of Tampa, Florida, Andrake Holloway of Kansas City, Latriece Holloway, Mychol Anderson, Ronnie Allen Jr., Tawania Allen, Michael Blackmon and Denzel Blackmon, Shandell Hathaway, Shai Hathaway, Jerrick Howell, Theyesha Hood, and Diedrie Hood all of Poplar Bluff and Tracie Nolen of Maryland;
And several great grandchildren.

A granddaughter, Angelique Allen preceded her in death.

The visitation will begin at 11a.m. with the funeral service following at 1 pm Thursday in Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the Pastor Carl Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
