Sadie E. Poole

Sadie Esther Poole, 90, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Poole was born May 24, 1920 in Wappapello, Mo. She was of the Protestant faith, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Poole enjoyed reading, walking, square dancing and playing shuffleboard.

On May 18, 1940 she married Lawrence D. Poole in Greenville, Mo. He preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 2008.

Survivors include two sons, Ron Poole and wife Doris of Poplar Bluff and Don Poole and wife Collene of Imperial, Mo.; six grandchildren, Larry Poole, Rhonda Sullivan, Steve Poole, Mike Poole, David Poole and Mark Poole; eight great-grandchildren, Denise Martin, Kevin Poole, Kelli Poole, Sarah Sullivan, Kyle Poole, Tyler Akins, Austin Poole and Brett Poole; two brothers, Wick Crites of Greenville, Mo. and Claude Crites and wife Glenda of Ill.; and special nieces, Arlene Lang of Wentzville, Mo. and Darlene Drake of St. Charles, Mo.

Her parents, Bern and Ann (Wilfong) Crites, and three sisters and five brothers also preceded Mrs. Poole in death.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel with Pastor Michael Poole officiating. Burial will be at Black Creek Cemetery in Butler County.
