Sally Ann Henthorne, 66, of Poplar Bluff, passed away November 24, 2014, at St. Anthony Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.
Mrs. Henthorne was born August 5, 1948, in Ester, MO, to the late Robert A. and Mary A. Slinkard Henderson. On June 5, 1965, she and James R. Henthorne were married in Poplar Bluff. He survives of the home.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, singing in the church choir, and working in the cafeteria and library at First Baptist Church, where she was a member. She had worked as a teaching assistant in early childhood, retiring from Poplar Bluff Public Schools. Her hobbies were crafting, scrapbooking, shopping and traveling. She was also a member of the Fine Arts Club.
Survivors include her four children: Karen Hodge of Paragould, AR, Tammy Mullican (Stewart) of McMinnville, TN, Joanne McIntosh (Bob), and Chris Henthorne, all of Poplar Bluff; a sister Alice Free of Alabama; two brothers: Carlos Henderson and Wesley Henderson, both of Houston, TX; ten grandchildren; and 8 great- grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Henderson, a sister, Rhonda Hendrix, and two infant grandsons: Jeremy and Steven Schmidt.
Visitation will be from 1:30 ? 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will begin at 3:30 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Dr. William Vail officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Library.
