Sharon Kay Brown, 74, of Ellsinore, MO, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at her home.
Sharon was born on December 23, 1950, to Burl and Edna Gregory in Parma, Missouri. She married Jimmy Brown on June 28, 1968.
Sharon enjoyed browsing yard sales, flea markets, and thrift stores. Her favorite thing to do was quilt. Many of her quilts won cash prizes and ribbons at quilt shows. Sharon was a member of the Ellsinore Quilters Club for the past 26 years. Sharon's faith was very important to her. She regularly attended church at Ellsinore General Baptist Church.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jim Brown; two children, Anita Usery and Jim Brown Jr.; one sister, Karen Swartz; one brother, Don Gregory; five grandchildren, Anthony Usery Jr., Amanda Usery, Hunter Scott, Kolby Brown, and Taylor Brown; two great grandchildren, Anthony Usery III, and Carolina Usery; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Sharon was preceded by in death by her parents and two brothers, Leon and Ronnie Gregory.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 11:00am-12:00pm at Ellsinore General Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow, beginning at Noon with Pastor William McDowell officiating. Burial will take place at Al’s Roost Cemetery in Carter County.
