Sharon Gayle Davis

Sharon Gayle Davis, 66, of Poplar Bluff passed away, Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 at Oakdale Care Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Davis was born March 18, 1947 in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and had retired as a teacher with the Poplar Bluff R1 Schools. Mrs. Davis enjoyed spending time with her children, especially her grandchildren, interior decorating, horses, bowling, and playing bridge and golf.

On May 29, 1976, she married Dewey Ray Davis at First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1987.

Survivors include her daughters, Tracey Hall (Keith) and Trish White (Michael) all of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren: Davis White, Braden White, Dylan Hall, Cameron Hall, Brittany Hall and Payton Hall; sisters, Sandra Freedman (Jim) of Poplar Bluff and Susan Wheetley of Porter, Tex.; niece, Tina Smee; and nephews, Kevin and Kyle Freedman

Her parents, Bernard Ralph and Mary Alice Short Wheetley also preceded her in death.

A celebration of life service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff with her brother-in-law, Pastor Jim Freedman officiating.
