Sharon Lee Greer

Sharon Lee Greer, 67, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Greer was born Nov. 23, 1942 in Elgin, Ill. She was a member of Cornerstone Tabernacle in Poplar Bluff, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Greer worked for several years at Lucy Lee Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, watching sci-fi movies and growing plants and flowers.

On Jan. 21, 1962 she married Fred Greer in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death on Dec. 28, 2006.

Survivors include four children: Curtis Greer of Farmington, Debra Helton and husband Daniel, Dora Lynne Williams and Daina Francisco and husband John all of Poplar Bluff; nine grandchildren: Amber Helton, Douglas Lovette, Savanah Lovette, Lauren Smithart, Devone Greer, Cierra Francisco, Preston King, Cidney Francisco and Bryce Greer; five great-grandchildren: Willie Helton, Maliah Helton, Jaylee Lovette, Jayden Bowler and Dannie Smithart; and a brother, Bruce Schrieber and wife Barbara of Las Vegas.

Mrs. Greer's parents, Wilbur Louis and Lucille Helen (Hutson) Schrieber an infant son, Davey Greer and a sister, Dawn Garza also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Bryan Parkey officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
