Shelby Jean Spencer

Shelby J. Spencer, 76, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff.

Ms. Spencer, the daughter of the late Raymond and Edith (Hall) Spencer was born Dec. 24, 1939, in Pottersville, Mo. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and working word puzzles.

Survivors include a daughter, Anita Darlene Godbey and son-in-law, James McCain of Neeleyville; one grandchild; four great grandchildren; two sisters: Christena Isphording of Mobile, Ala. and Patricia Lemieux of West Plaines, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

A brother, Lonnie Spencer; and three sisters: LaDonna Sitzer, Beverly Spencer and Deliane Spencer also preceded Ms. Spencer in death.

A graveside service will begin at 2 p.m., Friday at Cureall Cemetery in Pottersville, Mo. with Rev. Jim Schremp officiating.
