Shirley Clark

Shirley Jo Clark, 83, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at her residence.

She was born on May 30, 1935 to Joseph and Rubye (Fowler) Eichelberger in Poplar Bluff, MO. She graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1953. She proudly served her country and enlisted in the United States Air Force. Shirley married Donwell Clark on January 21, 1967 in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death on August 11, 2006.

She was a member of New Life Christian Church United in Poplar Bluff.

Shirley loved acting with The Stage Company and was a member of the AMVETS serving as their chaplain. She always maintained the most brilliant positive attitude and enjoyed making everyone smile at any opportunity. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by two children, Joe Clark and Amy (Mark) Sanders both of Poplar Bluff, MO; six grandchildren, Lydia Kassinger, Tori Cross, Hannah (Keyven Dunn) Sanders, Paul (Rhianna Elliott) Sanders, Scott Sanders, and Chloe Sanders all of Poplar Bluff, MO; three great-grandchildren, Tatum Kassinger, Sullivan Kassinger, and Sophia Cross; and one sister, Ruth Hampton of St. Peters, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents and step-daughter, Kathy Ingram.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 5 – 7:00 pm at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Moore Funeral Service Chapel with Reverend John Harwell officiating. Burial will take place in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
