Shirley A. Schaffer

Shirley A. Schaffer, 72, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Schaffer, the daughter of the late Robert E. and Lorene Selleck Strope, was born Jan. 20, 1945 in Troy, Pa. She was of the Pentecostal faith and had retired as a home health caregiver. Mrs. Schaffer enjoyed spending time with her family.

On Aug. 2, 2013, she married Richard A. Schaffer in Poplar Bluff. He survives.

Other survivors include three children, Mike Strope of San Clemente, Calif., Steve Strope of Rodgers, Ark., and Denise Hoth of O’Fallon, Mo.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Albert Estep, Chuck Rathbun, Dennis Rathbun and Larry Rathbun.
