Sophia Belle (Bryant) Fisher

Sophia Belle Fisher, 84, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Fisher was born Oct. 26, 1927, in East St. Louis, Ill.

On Aug. 29, 1969, she married Harry Lee Fisher. He preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 2000.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Bryant, of Poplar Bluff; a grandson, Ronnie Bryant, of Poplar Bluff; a great-granddaughter, Samantha Johnson; two great-great-grandchildren, Lilyanna Johnson and Padraig Johnson; two sisters, Ruby Sharp of Ellsinore, Mo. and Carolyn Graham of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, F.M. and Stella (Miller) Bryant, and a brother, U.H. Bryant also preceded her in death.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
