Stanley D. Wright

Stanley D. Wright, 60, of Carbondale, Ill., passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Wright was born Jan. 27, 1956 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was a self-employed entrepreneur and inventor. Mr. Wright enjoyed creating and inventing things. He loved to fish but his passion was collecting Elvis memorabilia and music.

In 1970, he married the former Cathy Ann Rhodes in Murphysboro, Ill. She survives.

Other survivors include two children, Fred Wilfreth III and Thela Nichole Wright; his mother, Lorene Withrow Conder; two brothers, Douglas Ward and Lester Storey; and two sisters, Pamela Fox and Donna Ward Crowley.

His father, Eugene Wright and a brother, Gary Wright preceded him in death.

The funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with the Rev. Ralph Mayes officiating. Burial will take place at Hamtown Cemetery in Butler County.
