Stephon Simmon Smith was born January 15, 1993 in Chicago, Il to the proud parents of Dannette Michelle Simmon and Matthew Simmon. He moved with his family to Poplar Bluff, MO in December 1998.
Stephon attended and graduated Poplar Bluff Senior High School where he played football all four years of school. In his youth, Stephon enjoyed being a cub scout, playing basketball, wrestling, and bowling. Stephone also enjoyed the company of his friends and family. He didn’t mind kicking back, shooting the breeze and listing to Bob Marley.
Stephone was a young person with an old soul. He left an impression on everyone he met. He brought light and laughter to everyone’s life. Whenever you had a bad day or just needed someone to talk to, Stephon was there to be a listing ear. He never cast judgement and was willing to give advice to anyone who needed it. Stephone was a kind and spiritual person who would have done anything for anyone and he neve expected anything back in return. He was a terrific son. A wonderful brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and a great friend.
Stephon leaves to cherish his memories: Siblings, Charlet Simmon, Jazzma Smith, Lanae Simmon, Matthew Jr. Simmon, Sara Simmon, Shelby Smith, Shunika McKnight, Sireze Booker, Tico Smith, Vanessa Simmon, and Venus who preceded hi in death; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
There will be a gathering of Family and Friends Saturday January 26, 2019 in the Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. Cotrell Funeral Service is honored to serve the family of Mr. Stephon Simmon Smith.
