Sue Crum, 78, of Piggott, Ark., formerly of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Mrs. Crum was born Jan. 2, 1932 in Campbell, Mo. She was a member of Fellowship General Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, camping, fishing and dancing at different area senior citizen dances.
In 1947, she married J.W. Mikel who preceded her in death. She later married Bethel Hicks who also preceded her in death. On Feb. 12, 1997, she married Frank D. Crum in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 2001.
Survivors twelve children, Phyllis Harrison of Poplar Bluff, Gary Mikel and wife, Kathy of Malden, Mo., James Mikel and wife, Toni of Piggott, Ark., Debby Lundstrom and husband, Scott of Poplar Bluff, Shirlee Vos and husband, John of Paducah, Ky., Randy Mikel and wife, Lisa of Piggott, Ark., Barbara Cunningham and husband, Scott of Fisk, Mo., Billy Mikel of Poplar Bluff, Glenda Markham of Puxico, Mo., Steve Hicks and wife, Vicky, Mike Hicks, Terry Joe Hicks, all of Poplar Bluff; 24 grandchildren, Gwynda Allen and husband, Brian, Charles Harrison, Jr., April Chaudron, Ruth Woolbright and husband, James, Virginia Stolting and husband, Scott, Tara Crosby, Chad Mikel, Cameron Thomas and husband, Donny, Billy Mosley, Eric Lundstrom, Miranda Englert and husband, Randall, Megan Vos, Morgan Mikel, Kevin Cunningham and wife, Tamara, Kayla Cunningham, Kira Cunningham, Brandy Campbell and husband, Ian, Dustin Mikel, John Suggs, George Markham, Jeff Markham, Becky Clubb, Brian Hicks and Steve Hicks; 10 great-grandchildren, Zack Allen, Stephanie Allen, Jack Harrison, Elizabeth Woolbright, Nicholas Stolting, Steven Crosby, Jessica Crosby, Drake Crosby, Zane Crosby and Marley Mikel; 8 sisters, Mereda Ezell of Campbell, Mo., Betty McCroy and husband, Chuck of Patterson, Mo., Brenda Reed and husband Ron of Neelyville, Mo., Alta Mallory and husband, Lonnie of Mississippi, Lou Ellen Thrasher of Clarkton, Mo., Denise Kellum and husband Randy of Gideon, Mo. and Tina Scott and husband, John of Dudley, Mo.; and 5 brothers, Cyrus Thrasher and wife, Peggy of Moscow Mills, Mo., David Thrasher of Neelyville, Mo., Bill Thrasher of Michigan, Steve Thrasher of Neelyville, Mo. and John Thrasher of Georgia.
Her parents, Ollie and Ester (Reel) Thrasher, children, Linda Mikel and Daniel Mikel, granddaughter, Kimberly Mosley, and sister, Ann Stout also preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel with Rev. Byron Beck officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley.
