Sue Lena Hicks

Sue Lena Hicks, 80 of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009 at The Manor in Poplar Bluff.

Ms. Hicks was born Dec. 3, 1928 in Baltimore, MD. She was of the Baptist faith, and was a homemaker. Ms. Hicks enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and watching soap operas.

Survivors include three children: Deborah Whitmer and husband Stanley of Poplar Bluff, Terry Lynn Harrison of Springfield, Ill. and Anthony Lee Hicks and wife Jane of Folsom, Pa.; five grandchildren: Chris Moore, Shawn Freeman and wife Brenda, Michael Harrison and wife Melissa, Katie Hicks and Nancy Hicks; eight great-grandchildren: Ryan Lee Miller, Blake Phillip Freeman, Phillip Eli Freeman, Ashley Elizabeth Sue Freeman, Autumn Harrison, Emily Harrison, Lilly Harrison and Katlyn Harrison; a sister, Minnie Ludwick of Virginia Beach, Va.; and a brother, Anthony Annarino, Jr. and wife Carol of Virginia Beach, Va.

Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Curtis Belle (Dough) Annarino.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Chapel with the Rev. Richard Whitmer officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
