Susan M. Brown Arnold

Susan M. Arnold, 69, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Fruitland Park, Fla., passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Mrs. Arnold, the daughter of the late William "Bill" and Mildred Dyer Brown, was born March 8, 1947 in Chicago, Ill. She was of the Christian faith and had retired from the Dexter State School in Dexter, Mo. Mrs. Arnold enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her yard, gardening and working with Heaven's Family Children's Home in old Mexico.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Arnold of Fruitland Park, Fla.; her son, Jason (Nicole) Fitzpatrick of old Mexico; two grandchildren: Marine Lance Corporal Sed Fitzpatrick of Okinawa, Japan and Jasmine Fitzpatrick of old Mexico; two sisters: Peggy Baker of Qulin, Mo. and Anita (Mitchell) Green of Parma, Mo.; and a brother, Leslie (Barbara) Brown of Poplar Bluff.

Two brothers, Dennis Brown and Bob Brown also preceded her in death.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. The Rev. Jerry Moore will officiate. Burial will take place at Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Stoddard County, Mo.
